The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Advancing the Implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention

Dear colleagues,

 

We are proud to announce that our two MasterCBRNe Didactic Coordinators, Dr. Alba Iannotti and Dr. Colomba Russo (Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Rome Tor Vergata) have composed (together with Col. Luigi Esposito from Italian Air Force now  Italian representative at OPCW) the Italian Delegation that took part at the First Global Conference :

 

"The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Advancing the Implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention"

 

held in Rabat (Morocco) from 22-24 October 2024 with the participation of over 200 diplomats and AI experts worldwide.


The talk of Dr. Alba Iannotti: 

Leveraging AI: Enhanced Game Theory for Strategic Management of Chemical Weapons Threats

 

and the talk of Dr. Colomba Russo:

Artificial Intelligence in Global Security: Analyzing CWC Compliance and

Emerging Chemical Weapons Threats

 

have been highly appreciated by all the partcipants.

 

There are many activities about AI developed at the University of Rome Tor Vergata and Prof. Pasquale Gaudio (Supervisor of Alba and Colomba) is in charge of all the AI application on CB safety and security with the tech support of Dr. Riccardo Rossi, Dr. Luca Martellucci and Dr. Alessandro Puleio.
