Dear colleagues,
We are glad to share with you that we arrived in Bahrein last Monday 10th February 2025 and we had, the same day, an important meeting at the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Bahrain with to His Excellency Major General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, and Major General Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief of Public Security and a delegation of the Directive Board of the University of Rome Tor Vergata composed by Prof. Andrea Malizia, Prof. Pasquale Gaudio, Dr. Alba Iannotti and Dr. Colomba Russo.
The meeting discussion has focused on the importance to improve education, research and training activities on CBRNe that play a pivotal role in strengthening global preparedness and response
capabilities.
The main points of the discussion were:
- Strengthening knowledge exchange and capacity building through specialized education and training programs and joint research initiatives.
- Enhancing cooperation with government agencies, law enforcement, and first responders to develop standardized response protocols.
- Promoting technological innovation and operational effectiveness to address emerging CBRNe challenges.
After the meeting we get prepared for the Non-Conventional Safety and Security workshop: The CBRNe challenges nowaday that we are actually doing and will finish tomorrow 13th February 2025 at the Royal Police Academy of Bahrein.
