Michael Thornton is a European security consultant with 40 years of experience in nuclear security, including 9 years implementing the EU’s CBRN Centres of Excellence Initiative in many countries around the world. He is a lecturer at the European Union Satellite Centre in Spain, teaches at the NATO School in Oberammergau and designs and delivers CBRNe table-top exercises as part of the International Alliance CBRN. Prior to working for the EU he worked on the Polaris and Trident nuclear weapons programme in the UK.
